Blank Screen After Login into Firefox


When you will start using Hyperion on Firefox, you may get a blank screen when you try to log into workspace or you may not get the Hyperion Menus like File, Edit, View, Administration etc. Sometimes its also been observed that your save Planning data form button, refresh button etc are disabled. In order to get rid of these issues we need to allow our hyperion urls to load XUL contents, to do so we need to Install and configure the Remote XUL Manager add-on, and then restart Firefox.

Its is pre requisite for Firefox to work with Hyperion, we can install the add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager

Once its installed:

1. Click on the Firefox button on the top left, then select Web Developer, and finally Remote XUL Manager to open the management window. On Mac OS and some other systems, the menu item is accessible from Tools > Web Developer > Remote XUL Manager.

2. To add a domain, click on the Add button and then enter the domain name of the site you want to add to the list (xx.xx.xx.xx, for example).


3. That's it! You should be able to access the hyperion urls again without any problems

    For me, works only once, close the browser open again..does not work any more, am in the latest firefox version.

The Member Does Not Exists For The Specified Cube

The member "" does not exist for the specified cube or you do not have access to it. Issue:  If you are running into a issue, where for a RTP member selection is throwing an error for a missing member, this regardless of the member you have selected in RTP or regardless of rule. You may be able to execute the rule from Calc Manager and not from Planning. Reason: You may run into this issue if: 1. You have added members in Planning and have not refreshed the cube 2. For the default value of a RTP in calc member you have a member which is not valid any more for planning application 3. For the default value of a RTP in calc member you have a member which is not valid any more for a plan type Solution: 1. Refresh cube 2. "Smart View handled an unknown exception thrown by Microsoft Office" Error on Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008

My MS-Office Components are Crashing After Installing Smart View on Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008! This is one more one pretty common issue,   "Smart View handled an unknown exception thrown by Microsoft Office."   This is actually a known issue in version 11.1.2.1. If you look at the read me of Smart View you will find bug# 11696583 "On Vista, Windows 2008, and Windows 7 operating systems, Excel may terminate abruptly upon launching after you install Smart View.
